Sanoma has appointed three new team members in the team of Chief Digital Officer John Martin. On January 1, 2012, Anders Stenbäck has started as Vice President Digital Partnerships, based in Helsinki. In Amsterdam, Lassi Kurkijärvi has started as Director Innovation and Development and Susanne Mostertman has become Director Digital Strategy. With these appointments the digital office is equipped to lead Sanoma’s transformation towards a front running multi-media and learning group, with diversified revenue streams and new digital business models.

Anders Stenbäck

Anders Stenbäck has been appointed as Vice President Digital Partnerships. In this new role his main objectives will be to help Sanoma's clients in their digital transformation, support Sanoma’s digital growth strategy and strengthen the relationships with technology and service providers both globally and in Sanoma's core markets.

Previously, Stenbäck has been Head of Online Advertising Business Development at Sanoma News in Finland. During his eight years at Sanoma he has held various positions in print, classifieds, online and mobile business development. He was also responsible for the development of one of Finland’s leading news sites HS.fi for five years.

Lassi Kurkijärvi

Lassi Kurkijärvi has been appointed as Director Innovation and Development in the digital team. He will help foster innovation at Sanoma and will give particular attention to Sanoma's mobile media development.

Previously, Kurkijärvi was Manager Mobile Development at Sanoma Media in The Netherlands. Before that he held various positions at Sanoma's newspaper Helsingin Sanomat, e.g. as Head Online Development and Manager Business Development.

Susanne Mostertman

Susanne Mostertman has been appointed as Director Digital Strategy and will set directions for digital growth and develop a transformation strategy towards a sustainable future media business.

Previously, Mostertman was Strategy and Business Development Director for Sanoma Media. In this role she was responsible for a.o. the development of a cross media strategy. Before joining Sanoma she worked in strategy consulting at Accenture for various media and entertainment companies in Europe.
