Lucian Ionita (1972) is appointed as Managing Director of Sanoma Hearst Romania, starting today. Former CEO Els Loesberg is leaving Sanoma to pursue new opportunities.
Ionita joined Sanoma in 2006. He has been Publisher of the magazines of Sanoma Hearst Romania's Family Cluster for the past few years. He will now drive the further development of the company's entire business portfolio. In his new role, Ionita will report to Heike Rosener, CEO of Sanoma Media Russia & CEE.
Sanoma Hearst Romania is a Joint Venture between Sanoma and Hearst Magazines International, and as such part of Sanoma Media Russia & CEE, one of Sanoma's Strategic Business Units. With a leading business portfolio of 17 magazine titles (including Cosmopolitan and women's weekly Femeia de Azi), the company is also developing an ancillary digital and mobile business and manages 15 websites.
