Last week financial news site Taloussanomat.fi exceeded the level of half a million unique visitors for the first time. According to TNS Metrix, 553,741 unique visitors visited the websites of Taloussanomat. The previous record was achieved in week 3, when Taloussanomat had 490,405 unique visitors.
"The financial crisis has increased the demand for financial information," says Editor-in-Chief for Taloussanomat, Juha-Pekka Raeste.
Taloussanomat has reached new readers also through co-operation with the tabloid Ilta-Sanomat. Taloussanomat and Ilta-Sanomat collaborate on stories and have boosted their mutual traffic funneling.
The amount of readers of Taloussanomat includes readers of services produced by the editorial staff of Taloussanomat; Taloussanomat, Digitoday and It-viikko.
Last week the total amount of readers of Taloussanomat grew by 13% from the previous week. At the same time Taloussanomat climbed to be the number one B-to-B medium in the statistics by TNS. Taloussanomat.fi had 468,758 weekly visitors, Digitoday 104,524 and It-viikko 64,987.
During the same week last year, the total amount of visitors of Taloussanomat was 293,970. The annual growth was thus over 50%.
