AAC Global, the Nordic supplier of language services and a SanomaWSOY Group company, has acquired Interverbum AB, Interverbum Localisation AB and Interverbum UK Ltd, members of the Swedish Interverbum Group, which specialises in translation, localisation and language training services. In 2007, the companies to be acquired had net sales totalling EUR 8.9 million and 66 employees. The acquired companies will be consolidated as part of the AAC Global AB business from August 7, 2008.

AAC Global's target is to grow into the leading provider of competence and communication services in the Nordic countries and Eastern Europe, in order to support customers in their increasingly multilingual and multicultural business environments. The SanomaWSOY Group will invest in its multilingual communication business area as the challenges and opportunities of globalisation increase.

Interverbum is one of the leading language service companies in the Nordic market with offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Copenhagen and London. Its extensive service portfolio includes translation and localisation services, term management services, language training and interpretation services.

"AAC Global has experienced strong growth and an increasing international focus during recent years. This acquisition is the third for AAC Global within just over a year. The integrated language service model that the company provides for its customers has been an excellent response to the customers' needs. Interverbum's strong foothold in the Nordic countries, particularly in Sweden and Denmark, will both strengthen our position in Northern Europe and open new possibilities for serving our Nordic key customers even better," says Janne Nevasuo, CEO of AAC Global.

"Today, Interverbum is the leading provider of translation and localisation services in Sweden. We have successfully developed our sector-specific specialisation, in particular in the medical, manufacturing, IT and telecom as well as the EU and the public sector, in order to respond to the multilingual needs of our customers. Joining the rapidly growing AAC Global Group will create a great opportunity to provide our customers with a comprehensive range of services. Resources invested by our new owner in developing multilingual competence and communication services will also open new avenues for Interverbum's competent staff," says Bengt Sjögren, CEO of Interverbum.

Language services provider AAC Global is part of SanomaWSOY Group, a strong European media group operating in diverse fields of media in more than 20 countries.
