R-kiosk to sell also event tickets

Rautakirja's R-kiosk chain and Lippupalvelu Oy have signed an agreement according to which R-kiosk will start selling tickets to events among other products. Tickets to different events will be reserved from Lippupalvelu and can then be collected from any of the R-kiosk's over 700 points of sales. The first R-kiosk will start to offer this service next spring and it will be available in all R-kiosks by the end of 2005. R-kiosk aims to become a significant player in this market.

R-kiosks It-system will be renewed to enable an online connection to Lippupalvelu's service.

Lippupalvelu is a part of the US-based Ticketmaster Group, the world's leading event ticket seller.

R-kiosks are a part of SanomaWSOY's Rautakirja division, which has kiosk operations in Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and the Czech Republic.
