Sanoma Magazines Praha acquired 9% share of the leading press distribution company in Czech Republic

Sanoma Magazines Praha, s.r.o. has acquired from Ecomedia s.r.o. a share of 9% in Prviní Novinová Spolecnost, a.s. (PNS). PNS is the leading company in press distribution in the Czech Republic. Sanoma Magazines Praha is publishing mainly consumer magazines like Vlasta, Kvety and National Geographic.

Sanoma Magazines Praha belongs to SanomaWSOY Group's magazine publishing division Sanoma Magazines b.v., the fifth largest publisher of consumer magazines in Europe with 240 titles in Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, Hungary, the Netherlands, Romania and Slovakia. In 2001 Sanoma Magazines' pro forma net sales totalled € 1 billion and it employs about 4.500 people.
