Statutory disclosure announcement required under the Finnish Securities Market Act

Ms. Patricia Seppälä, a major Sanoma-WSOY Oyj shareholder, has donated 63,437 Series A shares and 4 Series B shares to a foundation she has established but which she does not control. As a result of the donation, Ms. Seppälä's holding of Sanoma-WSOY Ojy voting rights has fallen from 10.27% to 9.67%, requiring a statutory disclosure announcement.

Ms. Seppälä holds 8.72% of the share capital of Sanoma-WSOY Oyj, and no disclosure is required in respect of this change.
