The general meetings of Sanoma Corporation, Helsinki Media Group and Oy Devarda Ab have today approved the merger plan. Under the plan, WSOY, Sanoma Corporation, Helsinki Media Group and Devarda will merge to form a new company called Sanoma-WSOY Oyj. The merger is scheduled to enter into force on 1 May 1999.
WSOY's extraordinary meeting will deal with the merger plan today, 29 June 1998 at 17.00 hours.
