Sanoma Learning, one of Europe’s leading learning companies, announced today that it has acquired the Belgian school- and teacher management software company Pronoia. The acquisition reinforces Sanoma’s position as an integrated learning solutions provider.

Pronoia provides online software programmes under the brand Schoolonline for preschool, primary and secondary education and is one of the leading players in the educational software industry in Belgium.

The acquisition allows Sanoma to continue selling Schoolonline as an integral part of its overall learning solutions offering.

“Our agreement to purchase Pronoia represents a major step forward in our continuing strategy to provide integrated learning solutions to our customers. Schoolonline, when combined with our current set of learning solutions, will strengthen our position in the Belgian learning market,” says John Martin, CEO of Sanoma Learning.

Pronoia employs 10 people (7 FTE) and is based in Ghent.
